This product is made from at least 20% renewable materials. Using materials from renewable sources offers new possibilities to reduce the dependence on limited resources. Adidas chooses renewable materials because they come from natural resources that are returned to nature, unlike fossil fuel-based materials that, once used, cannot be restored. Renewable materials, besides being natural, are biosynthetic materials that use plant-based raw material instead of fossil fuels. This raw material is transformed by chemical processes into intermediates and finally into synthetic materials.

Adidas calculates the carbon footprint by taking into account all stages of the product life cycle, based on prototype measurements/scales. From the extraction of raw materials, through processing, manufacturing, assembly, packaging, transport, to the end of the product life cycle, Adidas has measured the carbon footprint (CO2e) in accordance with an internationally recognised standard: ISO 14067.
